Teen, Family & Anxiety/Depression Specialist · Yorba Linda, CA
From breakups and grief to family transitions and questions around identity and self-worth, Timothy has spent over 13 years walking alongside teens and families through some of life's most formative challenges. You don't have to walk through it alone — and you don't need to have everything figured out to start.
Timothy's journey began in 2012, the summer he graduated high school. What started as volunteering as a small group leader quickly grew into a full-time role as a Youth Director. That decade of real-world experience with teens — before ever entering a therapy room — is what sets him apart.
He's seen firsthand the difference the right influence can make, and the real cost when guidance is missing. That's why he approaches every client with both clinical skill and genuine personal investment.
"I often think of adolescence like wet cement — still forming, still flexible, still becoming. When we step in early, we can smooth, repair, and strengthen what's forming before those patterns become permanent."
Today's adolescents are navigating pressures that previous generations never faced at this level — constant social media comparison, academic performance demands, shifting peer dynamics, and complex family roles. Without the right support, those pressures can lead to anxiety, withdrawal, identity confusion, and unhealthy coping.
Timothy is on the younger side for a therapist, which means he genuinely understands today's teen culture, social landscape, and school pressures in a way that many older clinicians simply can't.
Alongside his teen work, Timothy sees adults navigating anxiety and depression. Many of the adults he works with are dealing with the same patterns that first took shape in adolescence — persistent worry, low mood, a sense of going through the motions without feeling present — but never had the right support at the time.
Whether you're a parent who recognized yourself in your teenager's struggles, or an adult who has been quietly carrying anxiety or depression for years, Timothy brings the same directness and genuine investment to adult work that he brings to his teen clients.
A self-described sports fan and gamer, Timothy follows baseball, football, and basketball, and enjoys playing guitar and drums. He believes that knowing who you are outside of work makes you a more present, grounded therapist in it.
